Hês-êco Dêtîkè (/ˈerɪ/ /ˈɘco/ [resource] [top (clothing)]) is a subtropical Town located in the Ko-13nhun Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Hês-êco Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Hês-êco Dêtîkè was founded by Brtconkdo Trgarthë, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Hês-êco Dêtîkè receives an average of 223 cm/y (87 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Hês-êco Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 2558 m (8392 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Hês-êco Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 12th century in winter of the year 1072, by Brtconkdo Trgarthë. The establishment of Hês-êco Dêtîkè suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Hês-êco Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè is is constructed arround a series of restrictive baked earthen mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Hês-êco Dêtîkè's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. The top tier civilian fortifications has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Hês-êco Dêtîkè seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do. On second glance, that chaos continues into adulthood. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Hês-êco Dêtîkè.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a Guild of Nurses, which is tasked with caring for the elderly and infirm in accordance with local ordinances, religious values, and customs.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Hês-êco Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Hês-êco Dêtîkè which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Hês-êco Dêtîkè's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

Hês-êco Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves sex to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 1 via chanting.
